Personalized care as long as you need it

Charlottesville lacks qualified, affordable nutrition providers. We are committed to filling this gap by accepting insurance, unlike most other dietitians. We are in-network providers with Aetna, Anthem, and Sentara commercial plans, and we also accept Medicaid plans that are managed by Anthem and Sentara.

Many health plans cover 10 or more nutrition visits annually; please contact your insurance provider to find out what coverage your plan provides for procedure codes 97802 and 97803.

Not in your network, or not sure of your coverage? We are happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit for reimbursement, at your request. If you are in need but cannot afford nutrition care, please reach out and let us know; we are open to sliding scale arrangements for qualifying patients.

For cash pay clients: We offer a prompt pay discount if you pay in full on the day of service, and that is what is reflected in the rates here.

Please note that we are not Medicare providers, since Medicare provides extremely limited coverage for nutrition care, and only for specific disease states (diabetes mellitus and end stage kidney disease). Medicare recipients are therefore billed as cash pay.

Initial assessment

$200 — Initial assessment, including care coordination with your physician as needed (60 minutes). 

Follow-ups

$120 — Follow-up visits are normally needed weekly or every-other-week (60 minutes).

We accept checks and all major credit cards. Payment is expected at time of service.
